Professional User Experience Designer Offers Constructive Criticism to New Designer

A web developer recently created their first design without using a template. They shared it with the community in hopes of getting some constructive feedback about their work. The site features a header and sub-header. Underneath those, there are three boxes with additional information, arranged in a horizontal fashion. The three boxes have different background colors. They include three steps of service offered by a business. Under this, there are two buttons, one for learning more and one for getting started.

Under the two buttons, the page has vertical graphics of the firm's services that expand upon what is in the three boxes. The user would scroll through this information. Those background colors coordinate with the box background colors. The bottom has a background design that coordinates with the top, and there is another call to action button to get started and a chat button for instant conversations.

A professional user experience designer wrote back with a long list of suggestions and questions for the original poster. Their first comment was that center alignment of text is more difficult to read than left-hand alignment. Their next criticism was that green, red and blue are intense colors and do not complement each other. This person suggested a more complementary color palette. They suggested removing the numbers from the sections.

This person went on to say that the five get started buttons give the user no impression of what will happen if they click on it. They also wanted to know more about what the 'find out more' button does. The original poster did not define SEO or what it is for. The images seem unrelated to the content. This person also thinks that the two second blocks could be combined. They added that the paragraph text seems small. The dark background at the bottom doesn't coordinate with the brighter body content.

Finally, this person said that the site does not tell the visitor why they should choose this firm over any other. There is no contact information on the page. Other reviewers agreed with a lot of what this person said. For more information click here https://i.redd.it/n2iuewrele441.jpg.
