A person made a networking app and shared it with a huge online discussion community related to app development. They wanted to know what others thought about the app. The app is designed to make bubbles around friends you converse with a lot and group your friends based on the frequency and duration of interactions. The app uses animation, geometry and colors to showcase different networks.
Several hundred participants took a look at the app. One said they were thinking of the same concept a few days ago and loved what the designer did with it. They said they are a UI/UX designer who works in Singapore and has clients in Australia. They often want to meet to chat or say hi, but it is difficult when only one person can talk in the chat room at the same time. This person wants to test the app when it is available to do so.
The designer replied that the beta is launching this week. They would love to have some of the members of the online discussion group try it and report back. They offered a link to sign up to test the app. Another person wondered why nobody had made an app like this yet. They liked it a lot.
Another person wanted to know if the designer immediately started cat fishing after they made the app. The designer wrote back and thought that was funny. They noted they are friends with a lot of famous people, which is why those people showed up in their chat bubbles. Another person thought the app was amazing and original. They thought the designer should focus more on the UI before the app goes live.
The designer wanted to know what in the UI to fix. They want it to look clean. Another person said it would be cool to do this in a school setting for remote learning. Some other person said they were launching a similar app and offered a link to it. A different person said this would be a good idea for virtual conferences and breakout sessions.
