Display your developer skills with a dynamic resume

Developers often have a difficult time of setting themselves apart. While recruiters and hiring managers often get hundreds of applications for a job, it is only those that stand out and demonstrate the necessary skills that will get a second glace. A new free template using minimal HTML has been designed by a web developer who is simply interested in helping colleagues to succeed at growing and thriving in their careers.
This resume template features a familiar layout at the top, with the candidate's name in a large and simple font. The job title is displayed in a smaller font to the right of the applicant's name. The applicant's email address or other contact information is displayed in a small font immediately underneath the name.
The next section is where this resume template is drastically different from what most people are used to seeing. Rather than bullet points, a paragraph or a list of skills, this template uses boxes and tables. The first table allows the candidate to describe how many years of experience they have at different essential skills to the job. A second column in the table allows for interests or specialties to be listed.
The second table in the resume template allows the candidate to demonstrate how much change or improvement they have been able to effect in their previous position or positions. These are indicated with percentages. The percentages are displayed in a medium to large size of font in order to attract the hiring manager's or recruiter's attention. The sections of these tables could also be used to display the types and numbers of completed projects.
The bottom section of this resume template showcases the experiences and education of the applicant. There is not much room in this section, so it would be ideal for a candidate who has had one to three past jobs and one or two educational institutions to list. Most resume templates have this information closer to the top of the document. Candidates should be sure to use the key phrases and keywords that software will look for in their resumes.
