Can Responsive Web Design Also Include Mobile Animations?

Web developers are always looking for new ways to interest the people who visit a site. Responsive design continues to be a leading element. Because so many of today's consumers access the internet from a mobile device, a site has to be responsive to the mobile platform and screen size if it is going to be explored thoroughly by the consumer. Any site features that are built into a web page must also have the same level of responsiveness.
Animations on web pages are leading the way in capturing the attention of a consumer. People like to watch things, especially if they are pertinent to the text on the page. An animation needs to be responsive so that it displays properly on the small size of a mobile device. One developer recently wrote some code in order to make a responsive face animation. The face is simple, with just a circle as the head, a curved line for the mouth and dots for the eyes.
The visitor to the site is able to use their cursor, finger or mouse to shift the eyes and mouth from one part of the circle to another by moving left or right. Moving the cursor, finger or mouse up or down causes the eyes to look like they are closed. The coder of this animation wanted ot know what other responsive design animators thought of it.
One person who took a close look at this animation wondered how compression would affect the face's expression. Their guess was that compressing it might make it look angry, and stretching it might make it look relaxed. Compression can be a problem on certain mobile devices if the animated effect is not properly coded.
Another reviewer of this animated effect commented that this design does not really qualify as responsive based on what the user is doing. It should instead be classified as reactive or dynamic in how it changes based on the movements of the viwer's finger, mouse or cursor. However, if the coding itself is set up in a responsive way, then the animation is responsive. For more information click here https://v.redd.it/h5fxa1btenl21.
